Noodle and Salesforce

Your Salesforce forecast, checked against the evidence

Salesforce rolls your forecast up from the stage and forecast category on each opportunity. Those fields are set by the people who own the deals. Noodle reads the emails and calls behind every opportunity and shows you where the evidence says something different.

This is not a replacement. Salesforce stays your system of record. Noodle is the second opinion you check before you commit the number.

How a Salesforce forecast is put together

In Salesforce, each opportunity stage maps to a forecast category such as Pipeline, Best Case or Commit. When the stage changes, the probability and category change with it. Reps can override the category on their own opportunities, and managers can adjust forecast amounts.

That makes the forecast a well-organised roll-up of judgement calls. It is only as accurate as the stages and categories people entered.

What Noodle adds

Noodle imports your opportunities, contacts and accounts, files each email and call transcript against the right opportunity, and reads the whole deal. It shows your CRM-weighted forecast and the evidence-weighted forecast side by side, by stage, quarter and rep.

When Salesforce says Negotiation at 80% and the customer has not answered the pricing email in two weeks, you see that before the forecast call.

Salesforce forecasting alone is enough if…

  • Your reps update opportunities carefully and your forecast already lands close to the result.
  • You need forecast submissions and adjustments recorded in your system of record.

Add Belt Noodle if…

  • Your forecast keeps slipping and you cannot tell which deals are the problem.
  • You spend hours scrubbing the forecast before every review.
  • You want a read on each deal that does not depend on anyone updating Salesforce.
